Moldova Mission

Faced with the dual responsibility of catering to the educational needs of its own special needs children and an increasing number of Ukrainian refugee children, Moldova's education system is stretched thin. To lend a helping hand, New York-based organization, Coaches4Kids, is offering support.

Following the conflict that began in 2022, Moldova has become a sanctuary for 109,645 refugees, almost half of whom are children. Balancing the education of these displaced children along with local children with Down Syndrome and Autism has become a monumental task.

Coaches4Kids, a firm believer in the universal right to quality education, has taken up the mantle to support. The organization's founder recently visited Kishinev, Moldova's capital, exploring options to set up a center offering personalized tutoring to help children who might otherwise lag behind.

Inclusion in education is gaining ground in Moldova, but misunderstandings about children with disabilities persist. Coaches4Kids is determined to tackle these issues by supplementing the 2% of Moldova's education budget set aside for inclusive education. Their plan involves raising funds to employ more specialized teachers, build resource centers, and offer help to families.

Coaches4Kids' mission is to augment inclusive education for neurodivergent learners. Their strategy involves one-on-one tutoring and equipping teachers with the necessary resources to offer individualized support, making a significant difference to children who might have previously been overlooked.
